This July, our Summer Chinese Immersion Camp (Ages 4–13) is back—and we’re bringing language to life right here in Richmond through fun, hands-on experiences your children will love!

Throughout the program, students will build confidence in speaking and understanding Chinese through a mix of interactive classroom activities and real-world practice. Each week is thoughtfully designed to combine language learning with creativity, exploration, and cultural discovery.

What to Expect:

Practical Language in Action – Students will practice everyday Chinese through role-play and real-life scenarios, such as ordering food and having simple conversations
Creative & Cultural Activities – Calligraphy, crafts, storytelling, and themed games to reinforce vocabulary in a fun and memorable way
Exploration-Based Learning – Outdoor and local experiences that connect language to the real world

Sample Local Experiences May Include:

Visiting Aberdeen Centre to practice ordering food and using conversational Chinese in real settings
Exploring art and storytelling at Richmond Art Gallery
Learning nature-related vocabulary through guided activities at Richmond Nature Park
Discovering local history and culture at Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site or Ling Yen Mountain Temple
